About Media & Entertainment Skills Council
Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) founded in 2012, is a Not-for-Profit Organization. MESC is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Council is promoted by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) with the financial support from National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
MESC has 150 plus Affiliated Training Partners, 933 Total Certified Trainers, 24 plus Empanelled Assessment Agencies, 5,64,195 Trainings conducted under MESC, and 64 QPs across 12 Sub-Sectors.
The key objective of MESC Council is to create a robust and vibrant eco-system for quality vocational education and skill development in Media & Entertainment Space in the country. In addition, the Media & Entertainment Sector Skill Council aims to serve as a single source of information on M & E sector with specific reference to Skill and Human Resource Development in India. The Council is also implementing Standards, Training, and Accreditation & Reward (PMKVY) scheme of Government of India. Under the PMKVY Scheme, MESC has introduced the training programme in affiliated institutes as well.
Prime objectives of MESC
Conduct Skill Gap Study and Develop Occupational Standards.
Initiate Skill Cataloguing for the Media and Entertainment Industry.
Create Skill development plan with industry stakeholders, Government Agencies and NSDC.- Standardization of affiliation, accreditation, and assessment process aligned with NSQF guidelines.
- Identify and create a pool of certified trainers and assessors across the country.

Our Approach
We work closely with Industry Partners and Training Institutions. We solely understand the requirements by the industry and the need to guide the training providers to match the expectations set by them. Our motto is simple - To focus on improving the response of education and training as per the industry requirements, by more closely matching educational provision to need at a regional level. The information and data we collate during this exercise keep us updated on the skills required by the industry and structure the programs to match those requirements and plan for future skills provision.

We foster to develop and nurture skilling ecosystem on a large scale with benchmarks and standards as expected by Industry. Thus, promoting a culture of innovative entrepreneurship and high wage-based employment for aspirants, professionals and start-ups.
Enabling opportunities for all stakeholders to generate sustainable livelihoods for all citizens in the country, contribute to the GDP of India and enhance media and entertainment exports as well. To facilitate this at a fast pace a proactive board comprising of eminent professionals from all M&E sub-sectors to be collaborated selflessly to nurture and guide.
